Who We Are

MIR-TI (MIR TRADE INTERNATIONAL) is a social and economic development organization dedicated to empowering communities through sustainable trade, capacity building, and social development initiatives.

Registered and operational in Pakistan, MIR-TI works at the intersection of trade, social development, and poverty alleviation. Our integrated approach combines Trade Facilitation, WASH, TVET, and CSR Facilitation to create lasting impact for youth, women, and communities.

PMP® with over 15 years of experience in matching grants, value chain finance, and market systems development across fragile and mountainous contexts. Abdul Basit is a Project Management Professional (PMP®) with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of matching grants, value chain finance, and market systems development across fragile and mountainous contexts. He brings proven expertise in designing and operationalizing blended finance mechanisms, including partial credit guarantee schemes and impact investment facilities. Currently leading the PKR 56 Million Partial Credit Guarantee Scheme with HBL Microfinance Bank, Abdul bridges public, philanthropic, and private capital to de-risk investments that generate measurable social, climate, and financial returns. His experience spans leadership roles with UNDP, FAO, and AKRSP, where he has strengthened resilience for over 300,000 beneficiaries and established 17 CBDRM centres across Gilgit-Baltistan. Certified in Six Sigma Black Belt and ISO 9001:2015.

Seasoned development practitioner with over three decades of experience in senior management and technical consultancy across Pakistan and Nepal. Ms Noor is a seasoned development practitioner with over three decades of experience in senior management and technical consultancy roles across Pakistan and Nepal. A Civil Engineering graduate from UET Lahore with specialized training from the University of Canada and the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction, Philippines, she has been instrumental in planning and implementing community infrastructure, irrigation systems, and micro-hydro projects in mountainous regions. As Team Lead and Project Director for USAID-funded energy projects, she has overseen the construction of roads, buildings and houses across Pakistan.

Development and humanitarian professional with over 25 years of experience leading large-scale, donor-funded programs in livelihoods, rural economic transformation, and climate-resilient development. Masood Ahmad Mir is a development and humanitarian professional with over 25 years of experience leading large-scale, donor-funded programs in livelihoods, rural economic transformation, value chains, and climate-resilient development across Pakistan. As Team Lead for the Economic Transformation Initiative (ETI-GB) partnership with GBRSP, he has secured funding from IFAD, PPAF, WAPDA, UNICEF, FCDO, and KNH, developing over 16 concept papers and proposals. His leadership has strengthened over 200 Village Agriculture Cooperatives, introduced smart agriculture pilots, and established a $2 million Partial Credit Guarantee Scheme. MBA from Quaid-e-Azam University.

Amjad Ali is a development professional with extensive expertise in Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) development, youth entrepreneurship, value chain development, and food security and livelihoods. Currently serving as Specialist–Value Chains & Business Plans at a USAID-funded Global Aid Project, he leads the design and implementation of sustainable business initiatives, conducting feasibility studies, investment analysis (ROI, IRR, NPV), and rapid market assessments to identify high-potential value chains. His work focuses on strengthening linkages between farmers, buyers, and market systems while promoting gender equality and women's economic empowerment.

Senior Geologist with over a decade of experience in geological surveying, mineral exploration, and environmental impact assessment across Sindh, Baluchistan and KP. Jamil Uddin is a Senior Geologist with over a decade of experience in geological surveying, mineral exploration, and environmental impact assessment across Sindh, Baluchistan and KP. An M.Sc. Geology graduate from Karachi, he has led feasibility studies for industrial ore deposits, hydropower projects, and gemstone mining operations. His technical expertise supports MIR-TI's natural resource and environmental assessment work across Pakistan.

She has a proven track record of leading WASH assessments, developing engineering designs and BOQs, and overseeing construction of water supply systems, sanitation facilities, and irrigation infrastructure in fragile and mountainous contexts. As a strategic technical lead, she coordinates with international donors and UN agencies, particularly in humanitarian settings for emergency preparedness and response.

She has a strong background in designing and managing programs focused on infant and young child feeding, maternal nutrition, and the management of acute malnutrition. Her expertise includes planning CMAM programs, conducting SMART surveys and IPC analyses, and leading development of technical materials and training manuals. She excels at building capacity within teams and communities and ensuring programs are evidence-based.
